The Livermore Tripoli Co. was a rare earth mining venture at East Pond, in Livermore, N.H. As far as we know, these are the only surviving photographs of the venture. They're in a Henry Family photo album in the UPHS. The photo captions were written by Katherine Henry Benedict, c.1920.
The color photos were taken in June, 2005. The forest is reclaiming the site.
Stone walls and concrete foundations are just about all that remain of the mill complex. |
